From May 23-28, 2009 the Superior General will travel to Baltimore to attend the biannual retreat of the US province, which will be preached by Father Robert Maloney, C.M., former Superior General of the Vincentians and the facilitator for the Sulpician General Assembly of 2008. The retreat will be held at the newly renovated Bon Secours Retreat House in Marriottsville, a suburb of Baltimore.
The final day will be devoted to community issues and will include a presentation on ongoing education about sexual abuse by Dr. Monica Applewhite, former president of Praesidium Religious Services, Inc. Father Thomas Ulshafer, Provincial, will also present information on the state of the U.S. Province, and the Superior General will make a brief presentation on the Society.
This combination retreat and community day is held by the U.S. Province every two years and is always well attended.
