Redesigned Website Launched

In the age of the Internet, the importance of having a user-friendly and up-to-date website has become self-evident. It is an especially important means of communication among the young.

On May 29, 2012, the U.S. Province of Sulpicians launched its newly redesigned website (English only). The Province, which began in 1791 with the founding of St. Mary’s Seminary & University in Baltimore, Maryland, includes the United States and Zambia.

St. Mary’s Seminary & University is the oldest Catholic Seminary in the United States and currently has seminarians from nearly twenty dioceses. The Province also operates Theological College in Washington, D.C. and St. Patrick’s Seminary & University in Menlo Park, California. In Zambia, the American Sulpicians direct Emmaus Spirituality Centre, a year-long propaedeutic program for young seminarians preparing to enter major seminary. The twenty-fifth anniversary of the arrival of the Sulpicians in Zambia will be celebrated in 2014.

The current Provincial is Rev. Thomas R. ULSHAFER, S.S., who first began the website when he was Provincial Secretary. The current Provincial Secretary, Rev. Daniel MOORE, S.S., oversaw development of the new website.
